Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Assists with verification of the final quality of products on the production line.
Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects.
Separates products that do not have the desired technical specification, using basic measurement techniques and equipment.
Documents products that do not meet technical specifications using specified systems.
Follows the norms and standards of quality defined by the company.
Uses Cummins Quality System database for nonconforming material reports and product waivers.
Evaluates and analyzes measurement data and creates measurement reports; maintains records of parts calibrated and/or measured.
Assists in following calibration schedules, capability studies, and supplier and manufacturing data collection.
Leads the investigation effort for non-conforming material issues.
Screens for containment of part defects; sorts and reworks components to maintain production; ensures completeness of quality incident reports.
Assists teams with process changes and corrective actions through the Material Corrective Action Request (MCAR) and corrective action systems.
Initiates Corrective Action Request (SCAR, CAR, PCAR) Qualit
Reviews and report on quality defects.
Performs process audits.
Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas.
Participates in improvement projects.
Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.
Completes work with minimal supervision.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Minimal or no work experience required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience
