Data Governance Leader - remote possibility
We are looking for a talented Data Governance Leader to join our team specializing in Quality for our Components Business Segment in a Remote/Virtual capacity.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Lead Data Governance team responsible for operationalizing data governance framework, strategy, roadmap, and delivery across all functions and business units globally.
Owns, manages and drives the information strategy and roadmap for the function to achieve information management maturity.
Oversees all information management initiatives within the function.
Facilitate the information governance councils within respective group.
Ensures decisions made within an information governance council are implemented according to the agreed upon plan.
Designs, develops and delivers training and informational sessions to grow capabilities and competencies within the assigned function.
Leads the organization in understanding the business value of establishing and implementing an information strategy and develops value metrics that align to the deployment of information management capabilities.
Works closely with function leadership to identify and support business segment engagement.
Sustains operational knowledge of data information practices, analytics, governance, and quality, knowing who can help customers; Uses business knowledge to identify other growth opportunities for Information Management.
Engages with industry experts and peers, conducting research on best practices and implementation strategies; Collaborates on the creation and continuous improvements to process and tools used to enhance the Information Management framework.
Develops strategies for building, sustaining and innovating Information Management skills and capabilities within the business.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience required
Minimum 3-5 years overall data management and/or data governance leadership experience
Experience implementing and managing data governance tools, councils, processes, standards and policies
Proven ability to work with stakeholders and customers in a highly matrixed enterprise and global environment to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Experience ensuring legal, ethical, and regulatory data privacy, protection, and retention compliance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Up to 10% travel annually

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
