This is an exciting opportunity for Project Manager - Quality - #IN754 in Columbus, Indiana
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Lead multiple cross-functional mechanical quality projects from inception to completion.
Lead the development and maintenance of continuous improvement actions, tools, and capabilities in support of defect-free processes.
Assess the quality of engine products produced and establish and maintain quality assurance standards, procedures, and controls.
Utilize problem solving and quality improvement skills to implement approaches including engine manufacturing and service tools and process type selection and corrective and preventive actions.
Meet Voice of the Customer (VOC) requirements and utilize Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools to meet design quality standards.
Employ Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Controls (DMAIC) to implement enterprise wide quality improvement and variation reduction using statistically-based tools.
Assess project team developmental needs and provide opportunities as they related to the needs of the business and the project.
Facilitate project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine scope and objectives through utilization of Value Package Profile (VPP) and other scope defining-methods during Scope Management.
Develop and implement mechanical quality programs composed of multiple cross-functional projects and partner with key business stakeholders to ensure success project completion.
Utilize quality engineering tools including FMEA and 9-box project risk summary to identify areas of risk, identify alternatives or solutions, and apply motivational techniques to broad-based organization change issues.
Implement mechanical quality control objectives, activities, and procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability and minimize costs using extensive experience with Resource Plan Management.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Positions require aMaster’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field and2 years of experience as aMechanical, Quality, or Manufacturing Engineer, or related position.
Alternatively, the employer will accept aBachelor’s degree in Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Mechanical, Quality, or Manufacturing Engineer, or related position.
JOB SITE: Columbus, Indiana
WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
