We are looking for a talented Senior Supplier Quality Improvement Engineer for Overhead/Power Cylinder Team within the Manufactured Materials Group based in Columbus Indiana or from your remote home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Knowledge and execution of the SQI function including VPI (New Products), High Risk products/suppliers, product reliability. APQP, PPAP and manufacturing processes to deliver Zero Defects.

  • Knowledge of various metallic materials such as aluminum, cast iron, steel and key processes - forging, casting, coating, plating, heat treatment, tempering and other related manufacturing processes.

  • Understanding of complex print dimensioning and GD&T and the various measurement techniques.

  • Ability to create and manage action item lists to facilitate cross-functional meetings related to product issues and improvement projects

  • Flexibility to lead and attend meetings outside of normal business hours to accommodate our overseas suppliers and peers

  • Willingness to travel within and outside the US, which at times can be on very short notice

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
