We are looking for a talented SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER - TECHNICAL ADVISOR to join our team specializing in QUALITY for our CORPORATE BUSINESS UNIT/ CBS BUSINESS SEGMENT in COLUMBUS , IN or your approved HYBRID location.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Provide subject matter expertise to the Global Supplier Quality team on various types of metallic tubes, flexible hoses and bellows.
Support ownership of the sub-category and help drive improvements across the global Tubes and Hoses supply base. Track KPIs, lead read-across initiatives and establish best in class practices in an effort to drive towards zero defects.
Engage globally and cross-functionally to provide input on new and existing suppliers, designs and manufacturing strategy to shape future products in this space.
Lead the Global Tubes and Hoses virtual network. Prepare and present communications to functional and business leaders and stakeholders on key performance indicators.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
College, university or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject required.
At least six years of professional experience in engineering or similar technical/scientific
alignment.
Understanding of metallurgy, joining metals, coating, welding and brazing processes.
Familiarity with AWS standards, coating standards, CQI special processes (especially CQI-12, CQI-15, CQI-29). Knowledge of ISO 5817 would be a plus.
Deep understanding of leak testing processes (different methods, equipment selection, calibration with master orifices, red/green rabbit testing, SPC etc.)
Solid working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and how that affects part fixturing and layouts. Understanding of how data should be presented and interpret the data.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
