We are looking for a talented Quality Purchase, Parts, and Inspection Associate to join our team for our location in Seymour, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Ensures products received or produced meet technical specifications and trains others. Works under minimal supervision.
Collect plant nonconforming material and process accordingly. (Scrap, MNC, etc.)
Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment, and products to technical specifications to identify defects.
Screening/reworking material as needed.
Separates products that do not meet the desired technical specification, using basic and/or complex measurement techniques and equipment.
Manage the XXPO incoming inspection process and log.
Process 2nd strikes
Documents products that do not meet technical specifications using specified systems.
Trains others in the use of measurement equipment, segregation of non-conforming products, and documentation.
Follows the standards of quality defined by the Company.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
Previous Quality experience, Mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read/interpret blueprints are a plus
Strong Computer/Database comprehension is also a plus
Must have a Forklift/PIV license or the ability to obtain
Perform weekly inventory audits of plant hold inventory - Monitor the supplies of the area and reorder as needed.
Monitor supplier screening events
Process debits (returning defective material to suppliers)
Create shipping manifests to return products to the warehouse - Set up 3rd party ground shipments - Prepare parts for Hazmat shipment.
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Ability to work 1st Shift hours - 6:54 am -3:24 pm Monday - Friday with overtime based on the needs of the business.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
